FAQ
1. Why is the Lensmate DP2/DP1 lens adapter made of Delrin instead of aluminum?
Unlike the Canon cameras which have a locking pin ( which is why you have to press to release it ) the DP2/DP1 has a small bump on the lens barrel that holds the adapter in place. Therefore, locking relies on the flexibility of the adapter/and or lens barrel. A material that "gives" a little will allow the adapter to lock while ensuring that minimal wear will take place on the mating surfaces. Delrins' low-friction ( its often used for bushings ), and wear-resistance make it ideal for this application.
2. Does the Lensmate DP2/DP1 adapter come with a back cap?
Yes, the Sigma DP2/DP1 Lensmate adapter comes with a free end/back cap (not to be confused with a lens cap, the end cap covers the rear of the adapter when the adapter/lens or filter is removed from the camera).
3. The adapter requires a 52mm clip-in type cap the same size as the adapter thread, this type of cap will also fit onto a filter.

Buy 2 or more adapters at the same time for a discounted price ($1.50 off each adapter). Having one for each converter or filter allows you to take full advantage of the quick-change bayonet mount.
