We've gotten requests to address the issue of the Menu/OK button (center of the control dial) of the Fuji X100.

It seems many users have difficulty pressing this button without also clicking the 4-way selector surrounding it. This usually results in a selection error which requires entering the menu again to make the intended change, unless you don't notice at all until you check your results later when it's too late.

Lensmate has come up with a simple solution to this problem - an adhesive-backed enhancement which essentially raises the Menu/OK button just enough so even large thumbs can use this button with zero errors.

Laser engraved from black Delrin™, the Menu Button Solution is shipped in its installation guide - all you do is remove the adhesive backing and press on. The installation guide automatically centers the device over the Menu/OK button. Just press down, remove the guide and enjoy error free use the of the Menu/OK button.

  • Place the camera on a flat surface lens down, preferably on the lens cap or hood.
  • Clean the Menu/OK button with a tissue or cloth (not necessary to use solvents or cleaners).
  • Hold the installer with the white paper backing ring facing you.
  • With the pointed end of the supplied toothpick, enter the center hole as shown and separate the backing paper gently before lifting it off (avoiding the the layer of sticky below the paper backing).
  • Now turn the installer over, angled as shown until its groove catches on the dial, lower carefully into position and press the center firmly.
  • Slowly lift the installer off - the button enhancer should remain on the camera.
  • Press the Menu/OK button firmly and you're done.

  • What kind of adhesive is used on this product?
We use a 3M adhesive tape utilizing a thin foam sheet between layers of adhesive. This and the donut shape allow the device to conform to the convex shape of the button.
  • Can this device be removed easily?
Yes, in the event that you want to remove the device, just lift gently on an edge until it comes off. If the adhesive remains on the button, it's easily peeled off.
