The Canon Macro lens/filter is very nice. Unfortunately, it is also very expensive compared to the vast selection of other 49mm Macro filters that are available everywhere that fit right onto the Lensmate adapter. Also, the Canon filter seems to be about a +4 power so it is not as strong as stacking the +4,+2 and +1 filters in most macro sets. And with a set, you can "fine-tune" the amount of strength you need by adding or subtracting filters. With the Canon, you have one strength.
