We sell both a 58mm adapter (as per the stock Canon adapter) for use with the Canon converters, and a 52mm adapter for filters, third party converters, and for those who want the protection and handling enhancement a lens adapter provides. Like all LensMate adapters, they will be machined from aluminum alloy and finished in a silver bead blast to match the camera.

does nothing (except protect your camera's
zoom lens mechanism) without filters/lenses. |
Each
S2 IS LensMate adapter comes with
a free end cap (not to be confused with
a lens cap, the end cap covers the rear
of the adapter when the adapter/lens
or filter is removed from the camera).
The lens cap that came with the camera
will not fit on any of our lens adapters. The
adapter requires a clip-in type cap the
same size as the adapter thread (52mm or 58mm).
This type of cap will also fit onto a filter
of the same size as the adapter. |

Neutral
Density filters have several uses and offer
the possibility to achieve otherwise unachievable
results. ND filters appear gray and reduce
the amount of light reaching the film or
sensor. They have no effect on color balance.
Their primary uses are: 1) To enable slower
shutter speeds to be used, to record movement
or motion blur in subjects such as waterfalls,
clouds, or cars. 2) To decrease depth of
field by allowing wider apertures to be used,
which helps separate subjects from their
background and improve bokeh. The ND8 will
reduce the light transmission by 3 stops.

One
half of this filter is NDx4 Neutral Density and
the other half is clear, with a soft boundary
between the two. It is used to control bright/dark
contrast by reducing half the shot by 2 stops.
Particularly useful in landscape photography,
the rotating mount allows bright skies to be easily
controlled for dramatic effect. Available 52mm. |

The Raynox 6600 is a high quality wide-angle converter with a conversion factor of .66X, giving the S2 the 35mm equivalent of 23.76mm focal length.
It weighs 6.75 oz. and has a 52mm thread mount and 72mm filter thread, both metal.
Please note: though there is a front thread on this converter, attaching a filter (even a thin one) or hood will cause vignetting at the full wide setting.
Extremely low distortion makes it ideal for architecture and interiors. Does not vignette at any focal length. Black only.

Please
note that a small percentage of packages to the following
countries have experienced extended delays in customs: The
Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Israel.
We
ship via USPS (US Postal Service) airmail rather than a
private company such as UPS or Fed-Ex. USPS costs a third
less and usually beats them in delivery time. Delivery times
being 1 to 2 weeks, depending on customs. Also, USPS packages
are charged a smaller customs fee on the Canadian border.
USPS Airmail does not include a tracking number outside
the US, USPS Global Express does (for an extra fee).
