Adapters |
This is just the adapter; enables your camera
to use auxiliary filters and lenses. It
does nothing (except protect your camera's
zoom lens mechanism) without filters/lenses. |
The lens adapter for the Canon A85/A75/A70/A60 might appear the same as the adapter for the Canon A95/80, but they are different. Both the 37mm and 52mm adapters for the A85 are shorter in length than the A95 adapter. The lenses on the two cameras are entirely different. There is also a slight difference in the bayonet mounting mechanism.
Each
A-Series 37mm, 52mm LensMate adapter comes
with a free end cap (not to be
confused with a lens cap, the end cap
is used when the adapter/lens or filter
is removed from the camera). The
lens cap that came with the camera will
not fit on any of our lens adapters. The
adapter requires a clip-in type cap the
same size as the adapter thread (37mm,
52mm, etc). This type of cap will also
fit onto a filter of the same size as the
adapter. |

field by allowing wider apertures to be used,
which helps separate subjects from their
background and improve bokeh. The ND8 will
reduce the light transmission by 3 stops. |

The 37mm A80/A95 Tiffen MegaPlus custom spacer has a silver finish that matches the 37mm adapter and the Tiffen lens. The 52mm A80/A95 6600 custom spacer is black to match the Raynox 6600 or the Canon TC-DC52 2.4X.

(all sizes of lens hoods can be attached directly to the adapter or to filter without vignetting on the A80/A95) . Helps in preventing lens flares when shooting towards a light source. Folds flat when not in use. It will block the optical viewfinder, and the flash (prelight/red eye light); but that should not be a problem in a situation when a lens hood would be useful.
